Stalker

I had went through great lengths obtain information about my next two people of interest. A few hacked computers, tapped telephone lines, and a couple of visits to some friends i had, that worked for public utilities. I began to think that my obsessive thinking began to display other psychological as well as personality problems. I would agreee with myself that at times, i may suffer from erotomania, paranoia, schizophrenia, and perhaps a little dilusional thinking. I also would agree with myself that my personality is rather rigid and the hatred was real. Lets be real, most of the time i  could identify as a loner. Normal individuals would be extremely embarassed to be caught following other people, going through their trash looking for information about them, but me, i didnt give a shit nor planned on getting caught.
I've been watching him for the last few days, and had their whole routine down packed.
I watched him as he came out of the house everyday same time, Sweatpants, sweatshirt, and running shoes headed up towards Edward Vincent Jr. park. The park was huge, there used to be a river of some sort that ran right down the middle. I watched him everyday for the last few days as he jogged behind the pool area, stopped and read the historical statue/plaque that stood there. the way he jogged the park, i could believe that he has been coming here for decades. After he stopped at the statue, he sprinted throught the playground, climbed a bunch of stairs, and took another breather when he got to the pirate look out tower. He made me a beliver that this was the perfect place to come jog, ride a bike, rollerblade, run etc. The park used to have three baseball fields, but now there were only two because the soccer field replaced the original field at the top of the park. I watched him from a distance as i admired the big picnic area, tennis and basketball courts with lots of grass. I wish i had the wind to jog along, but i would catch up with him on his last lap. I watched him and how his fluidssecreted trhough his sweat glands, and out from the pores of his skin. With every lap he ran, i looked in his face and could see the feeling of tiredness, which in my eyes became his weakness. I was like a boxer, wearing down my victim, letting them dance around the ring as they became more and more exhausted. By the time he had made it to his last lap, i made sure that i stood in place. He cruised by the exercise equipment, and came jogging through the tunnel. I swung open my straight razor, and slung it across his throat. I watched him as he drowned in his own blood before he passed out and would be denied the proper amount of oxygenated blood to his brain.
After i   left my bloody linen in the tunnel with his breathless body on the   ground, i made my way to one of few phone booths that the city had left and dialed the number to a cab company and sent for a yellow cab. When the dispatch answered my call, i asked specifically for cab number 1203, which was a driver named muhammed who took care of the local routes. With things changing with the times, cab drivers were lucky to even get calls after the new epidemic of uber and lyft drivers who could pick up and drop off passengers just as they did. It had become competitive market, which made it hard for cab drivers to make a living.
"Your Location please" the dispatcher asked.  I gave them a pickup location that was several blocks away to be safe. I needed to get the furthest away from Edward Vincent Jr. park as possible. It would be soon before someone was bound to come through the tunnel.
When i made to my pickup location, i waited patiently for the cab. I watched my surrounding s and kept my hood draped down over my face.
I watched as the cab pulled up, and smelled another easy kill. This shit was like taking candy from a baby. As he got closer i signaled for him to stop. Once i was inside, he pulled away from the curb. I had thought of a million places to blow this mans head off, yet didn't none  seem more logical than taking him to the cemetery. As i glanced nosily around inside i noticed a piece of paper hanging over the top of his sun visor next to his rearview mirror, It was a letter for Jury Duty. I smiled and thought to myself
"Goteeeeeemmm!!!"

Synopsis

Taking a look inside of untamed minds sometimes finds a sick pleasure of fun inside the devils playground. so many times, we never know exactly how  close we are indeed connected by  emotions which makes us Guilty By Association.

"I raised the gun up and shot through the door. a chunk of the door flew across the room as I continued to fire aggressively. she had never see my face, but he did, but before he could recall from where...... it was too late. I had killed them bearfaced. as I stepped out of the closet, smoke still blazin from the barrel of the gun, I stood over the woman's worthless body and spit in her face. I looked back at him and thought of him as a waste of good dick. I was proud, I thought of myself as a god as I governed the commandments. I stared in a look of disgust as I looked at a man some people thought highly of. without his loyalty he was merely a peasant to me. I knew if I had held the capacity to murder this woman in cold blood, that I could do it again to anyone. she was not excluded from my purge, she had it coming like the rest of them. it would just be something I would have to deal with, but would have no regrets for. To some, loyalty might have been a tad bit over rated, but for me, and my world, it determined your fate."

"The Funeral"

"Guilty by Association"
written by
AuthorKingWilliam

" They say the Good die young ".
Message to the black man. When they used to say we gone be extinct in a minute, it just flew over my head but now it has become a Reality.
If the Police ain't killing us, We killing each other, and if we ain't killing each other, just know that Society has something in place to do it, it's called Population Control.
Biggest game of chess going................
It's sad but true, that a person never actually knows how many lives you touched, until your dead.
Fucked up, it gotta be that way.
" Its Ok baby" Lisa said, trying to comfort Bobby Ray as the limo they were riding in cruised down Florence. The silence in the limo was equivalent to that of when you hear nothing else but the hands on the clock making a tic and a toc. Bobby Ray turned to look at Chill and caught him peering out the window, with a blank stare.
" You don't need this" Lisa said looking down at the bulge in his pants.
" You never know" Bobby Ray said as he stared her back in her eyes with a very serious mug.
" Shit fucked up!" Chill said to himself as he still could not believe that his friend was no longer with them. So many memories cried out for attention as they both reminisced on their childhood up to that point.
Most people plan weddings, or maybe even graduations, but it was always a difficult time to plan a funeral.
When they pulled up to the Abundant Life Christian Church at 3500 S. Normandie Ave. the Limos lined up back to back in front of the church.
Chill and Bobby Ray wore slim fit textured wool tuxedo jackets with elegant satin peal lapels. The jackets had lightly padded shoulders and a darted front, the jackets were finished with satin trimmed flap pockets, side vents and covered pockets.
As ghetto as it may sound, they wore these right along with their chucks. A mural of Swoop had been air-brushed to the back of their jackets with the words " Gone too Soon".
As Chill, Bobby Ray and Lisa stepped onto the curb, they caught the view of a soul train line of Low-Riders. The Eight-Trays were coming to show their respects to the lil homie.
Bobby Ray seen the disgust in Swoops mother's face hidden underneath her black veil as the Eight-Trays hit the corner.
Lisa wore her camouflage print jacket with leather trim. Her style was classy but yet still sassy. The classic design camouflage jacket had a concealed zip and press stud closure and multiple oversized pockets. On her feet she wore some suede ankle boots with top stitch detail and almond toe with pull tabs at the side with a 5.5cm,2.2 inch heel. She was legit.
The family got slipped through the side door as the services were ready to start.
Chill and Bobby Ray stayed back, as they would carry their brother inside, along with the rest of the Pall Bearers.
After Swoop was carried in, the Pastor prayed over his coffin, and the pall bearers filled in to the first two pews to the left.
As the service edged further and further along Swoops mother became an emotional wreck as her emotions overcame her.
Lisa sat next to Swoops mom and did her best to comfort her. But as you know in such an event, even her best was not enough.
So many emotions flowed through the church, like fish in the sea, and water under the bridge. It was an awkward silence between the ordered events of the service yet so loud.
After the pastor highlighted some memorable events of Swoops short but precious life, the choir sung few songs, and then came the time for family and friends to express their memories of him before the viewing.
When the time came for friends and family, Bobby Ray allowed the immediate family to say what they needed before he decided to have a turn.
" Sean was like my brother man", Bobby Ray started , as he spoke in reference to Swoop.
" He was one of the best friends anyone could have", he continued as his voice began to crack and tears rolled down his face.
" Imma  miss you brother" he continued as he stared down at the podium. When he looked back up, he noticed he had the undivided attention of every single soul. He looked at Chill and the tears could not stop running down his face.
Bobby Ray had plenty of good things to say as well did others.
Even Spider Loc and a few of the Eight-Trays got up and told the family how much of a stand up guy he was.
"He was indeed before his time" were the last of the last words spoken on his behalf before they were allowed to view him.
Chill and Bobby Ray served their purpose as they escorted Swoops mom up to the casket.
"My Baby!" was all she could say over and over again as she stared at the precious gift in a box. She shook her head and dabbed her tears away with a handkerchief.
After Swoops mom was satisfied with her farewell, Chill had his turn, and then Bobby Ray had his.
It is believed that after death, the body becomes stiff and there is no support for the muscles that help level out the weight.
Lisa escorted Swoops mom outside so she could meet the pall bearers at the Hurst.
Chill and Bobby Ray listened to the instructions from the funeral director with full attention.
All the pall bearers worked as a team. The doors to the church opened and the pall bearers kept the casket close while walking slow and steady. They coordinated each others step with the person that was in front of them.
Chill and Bobby Ray were halfway down the stairs to the church when they struck. Before anybody had a chance to look, people were getting hit left and right. Shots rang out uncontrollably.
When Bobby Ray looked up he saw 3 cars full  Poppin shots his way. A few pall bearers got hit and the casket slipped out of their hands and slid down the stairs like goods on a production line.
Everything happened so quick that they barely had time to fire shots back.
" I can't believe this shit" Bobby Ray mumbled to himself.
The smoke hissed out the barrel of his gun still hot from the shots he fired back.
"The ultimate disrespect" was the last thought that crossed his mind.
Now Bobby Ray really had no choice.
It was either Kill or be Killed. He had to play the game, or let the game play the shit out of him.

"The Kickback"

"Guilty By Association"
Written by

"The Kickback"

"The lil Homies got heart right!" Spider Loc said, as he looked at his boy riding shotgun.
"Hell yea! you lil mothafuckas got heart" the passenger said agreeing with Spider Loc.
Swoop and Chill just sat in the backseat still in shock from what had taken place at the gun shop
"Don't worry we're going to take care of you lil homies, right Chedda?"
"Hell yea! Sip some forties, Fuck some bitches, and party" Chedda re-assured. Before they could make it back to the hood, Spider Loc and Chedda were making phone calls and telling everybody they knew about the kickback. Eazy E's "Real Mothafuckin G'z"  blasted from the stereo system as they turned the corner on the way back to the hood. Swoop and Chill loosened up, the closer they got to the block. As the car pulled up to the front of the house, they were singing right along with the radio, word for word.
"Real Mothafuckiz g'z"
By the time the sun dropped out of the sky, the house was packed, the liquor was flowing, and the weed was in the air.
"This that California Bud" Chedda said to Spider Loc, as he referred to the joint in his hand. The whole house was flamed up with black rags and Locs, as they C-walked to Warren G's "Regulators"
"Yall homies kool right?" Spider Loc asked as he crip walked extra hard. He must of spelled out the whole state of California as he kicked up his chucks, and popped his fingers.
After the incident at the gunshop, the homies grew a whole new respect for Swoop and Chill. Niggas they didn't even know came up to greet them and give them fist-pounds. The way they embraced them and took them in, as if they had always been their own. Swoop and Chill stood posted on the wall, with black rags that hung from their back pockets. They smoked weed, sipped forties, and kicked game with the homies. They had to be two of the youngest niggas there, in other words, the most reckless.
"Check it out, lemme show yall around" Spider Loc said .
As the strobe lights illuminated bright fluorescent lights, you could see the sweat bouncing off the bitches asses. The bitches that were there, wore little to nothing at all. The more and more Swoop and Chill got consumed in the moment, the more they felt right at home.
"Damn! is All you niggas running around strapped?" they heard one of the hoochies say as they walked past. After they made it to the back of the house, they pulled up chairs and sat down at the roundtable.
Out of all the niggas that could have been involved in the melee, the Eight-Tray Gangsta Crips carried the majority of most gangstas, if any, were present. The Eight-Tray Gangsta Crips were known for their Loc Sunglasses, Black bandanas, and white t-shirts.
Their Crip rivals included: All of the Neighborhood Crips which was also a gang, and all of the Rolling 60's. The on-going war between the Rolling 60's and the E.T.G's (Eight -Tray Gangstas) has been a bloody one since it started, that caused more crip on crip killing, then with the rival bloods period.
"Aye Carla, Check it out!" Chedda said, as he motioned to one of the bitches to come.
"Hey Chedda, Wuz up?" Carla said as she walked towards the table
"Why don't you and your homegirls come over here and show the  young Homies some love" Spider Loc said.
"Nigga You aint said nothing but a word" Carla responded. Carla made her way across the room, and a few minutes later, returned with her entourage. The girls turned the table into a stage and stepped on to it, laughing and giggling. The homies peeped their every move, and admired their bodies, as each girl took her place. The tease in their body was in motion before they actually revealed any skin. Two of the girls took center stage, as they stood right in front of Swoop and Chill. Heads tossed. hips grinded, pelvics jerked, and before they knew it, Swoop and Chill found themselves caressing their calfs and thighs, while the girls flaunted their goods, all up in their face. The girls ruff housed each other with butt slappin, and their clitoris rubs. The homies grabbed two handfuls of ass a piece. As the girls dropped their tops, titties bounced around as they dropped down low, then up, and down again.
"You lil niggas wasn't ready for this" Carla said as she walked up and grabbed the back of Swoop's neck and buried his face in between her legs. She gyrated and grinded her pussy all into his face.
Spider Loc and Chedda got a kick out of watching Swoop and Chill enjoy themselves.
"Nigga this what Big Homies do!" Chedda said as he fistpounded with Spider Loc
"Yall lil niggas having fun yet?"Chedda asked as he cracked a smile.
"Homie, this the most fun we done had all semester" Chill said as the liquor began to speak for him. it was then that he fell in love with that care-free feeling that numbed a harsh reality.
"They definitely aint giving this away in a history book" Swoop said.
The night was young, the energy was real, and before the end of the night, Swoop and Chill would enjoy one of the best times of their lives.............. So they thought!!

Lisa Ray

"Guilty by Association"
by
AuthorKingWilliam

"Lisa Ray"

"Nigga you thought I was playing huh?"
Lisa said as she Viciously jackhammered on Bobby Rays dick like a pogo stick. She arched her back like she was riding a horse and continued to let the cum drool out of her pussy and down his dick like slobber from a pit bulls mouth. She grabbed his neck and continued to drive drunk and wreck less. Bobby Ray enjoyed every minute of it as he threw shots back at her. The sound of their bodies meeting were like putty against the wall, her pussy gripped his dick like a pair of vice grips. Bobby Ray slid his body upwards and repositioned himself as he began to suck on her overly aroused nipples.
"Oh Ray Ray" Lisa murmured like a wounded kitten.
"Oh Ray Ray!" she continued to purr.
Her seductive cries made Bobby Ray even more aroused as he pushed her backwards until she was laying flat on her back. Once again he repositioned himself until he was hovering over her body like a wolve that was ready to feast on his prey. Instead he started with soft kisses to the side of her neck as he slid his manhood back into her jaws of life. Slow strokes with just the tip, tickled her vagina all the way down to her soul. He felt her body quiver as he continued to dip into her cookie box. His kisses moved down her body until he was back at her breasts. he let his tongue run laps around her nipples before he sucked them in. His dick began to get harder and harder as the pussy got sweeter and sweeter. The dips turned into dunks, and before he knew it, he was trying to break the glass....Long dick style.
"No, you thought I was playing huh?" Bobby Ray said as he wrapped his hand around her neck and continued  to thrust into the walls of her vagina like john henry working on the railroad.
"Who's pussy is it?" he whispered.
"Yours!" she shouted
"Who's pussy?" he whispered again.
"Yours " she shouted more aggressive than the last.
Ray Ray began to dig so hard that he resurrected her last orgasm. He could feel her waterfalls of joy as he dropped his sinker, then hit her with the curve ball. Just as she was about to cum again, he slipped out and dropped all the way down as he kissed on her navel, then let his tongue linger down to her vagina. As she lay bare on the bed, she braced herself for her next orgasm as the heel of her foot arched, she clenched the sheets and released herself again.
"OOOOOOhhhhhh" she screamed.
His tongue did tricks as it trickled up against her pearl tongue. The lash of his tongue had her drunk in love. Each lash to her clitoris made her pussy fire like a fully automatic Assault Rifle. Lisa moaned and groaned with pleasure as he stretched her arms out and climbed back inside. The way she was positioned, you would have thought that she died on the cross. Bobby Ray started C-walking in that pussy like it was nobodies business. After a few more strokes, he felt his dick get stiff and ready to spit.
"Im coming" he studdered
"Cum in me!" she said .
but before she could get out another word...... Bobby Ray emptied the clip and buried his treasure.
After a good three rounds of working on their cardio, Lisa and Bobby Ray fell asleep wrapped in each others arms. Lisa's head found a pillow on his chest, while Bobby Ray's hands were gripped to her ass.

Eight Trays

Guilty By Association
by
AuthorKingWilliam
"Eight-Trays"
When Chill and Swoop made it to the hood, swear it looked like a car show with all the fancy Low-riders and bikes.
"Ahhhhhh...... the homies!" Swoop said as he inhaled a breath of fresh air. All the Eight-Trays were sitting in front of the big homies house. After they took a few more steps, they stopped in front of a all black '61 rag-top where some homies were just sitting and chilling inside the ride.
"Dis ride dope cuzz" Chill said as he admired the nice ride. People often got accused of overdoing it with their Low-riders and trying to cram every square inch with some sort of modifications.
"Yes Sir!" Swoop agreed as he slid his hand across the exterior. The '61 rag-top was remixed with a '81 350 with plenty of chrome to bling it out. The engine was joined by a 700 R Trans. You couldn't help but admire the bow-tie block on the firewall, the "61" that was embossed on the valve cover breathers, Spal fans, Champion radiator, Edelbrock Endurashine Carburetor, and March Performance Pulley System. The paint looked like black Onyx, with light gray muraling on the skirts and sides. There were also additional engravings on the front and rear bumper guards, door handles, and hood. Shit the car even had engravings on the control arms, and if you know nothing about cars, they are located underneath the car. The Pesco Pumps, Hydro Air Dumps, and Accumax Solenoids powered the air-craft hydraulics with 8-inch front  and 14-inch rear cylinders that made the car bounce, rock, and rollerskate.
The Homies seen Chill and Swoop admiring the car, so they dropped the ass of the car to the ground and made the front hop a few times.
"What yall lil niggas up to?" the Homie that was riding shotgun asked.
"Shit, trying to ride like yall" Chill said. he was a little more naïve than Swoop so he was more easily impressed.
"Gotta put in that work, you wanna ride like this" the Homie said.
"Work?" Swoop said as he repeated.
"Yea....work nigga, you know what that is right?" The Homie said as he laughed and looked at the driver and the other passenger.
The West Side Eight-Tray Gangster Crips were a predominantly black street gang, founded during the Mid 70's as a spin off of the Original West Side Crips, that included Stanley "Tookie" Williams. Over future coming years, at least five more sub-clicks would develop from this movement including: Original  Southside, Deep Southside, Bacc West Side, Far West Side, and the Nutty Northside.
"Yall riding or what?" The Homies asked.
"Yea" Chill said looking at Swoop. Swoop gave Chill a look as to say he was always getting them into some shit.
"Yea, we down" Swoop said not trying to look like the weakest link. As Swoop and Chill climbed into the back of the rag-top, a '64 impala pulled up next to them with a car full of Eight-Trays. The car was candy red with pearl undertones adorned with silver metalflakes on the top and sides accented with cobb web patterns.
"What the fuck yall still doing in the hood Homies? its going down on Florence!" The Homies announced.
"Shit, we riding out now" Spider Loc said. He was the driver of the car they were in. Chill and Swoop had just left all the ruckus, and were now headed back for more.
"Among all the people that were in the Florence Area, One particular group of people actually kicked off the looting though. At some point, the people decided they weren't going to pay for what they were getting, and the looting started at that very moment. Inside the Payless Liquor and Deli, the store owners son was hit in the head with a bottle of beer, while two other youngsters smashed the glass  front door of the store.
A lot of people would get injured on this day, as well as a few fatalities. Among them all, I don't think the city of Los Angeles would forget little Latasha Harlin. In the midst of all the confusion, a store owner inside of Empire Liquors noticed little Latasha Harlin putting a bottle of orange juice in her backpack. Obviously she had came to the conclusion that she wasn't going to pay. The store owner grabbed her by the sweater and snatched her backpack. After hitting Latasha with her fist atleast three times, Harlan backed away, while having a stool launched at her. Harlan then picked up the orange juice that had fell to the ground during the dispute, put it on the counter, and turned to walk away and leave. The store owner then reached under the counter, then fired at Harlin from behind and shot her in the back of the head. She never made it out, and died with two-dollars in her left hand.
Chill, Swoop, Spider Loc, and the rest of the Homies raced down to Florence.
A owner at a local gunshop looked out his window witnessing all the confusion, destruction, and mayhem. All he could do was hope that the havoc didn't blow his way.
Chill, Swoop, Spider Loc, and the rest of the Homies pulled up to Florence and Western street, to witness maximum chaos. Cars were burning, windows broken, innocent bystanders beaten....... This definitely wasn't the time or place for the average square, shit......it was going the fuck down!
As Chill, Swoop, Spider Loc, and the Homies exited the cars, Spider Loc went to the back of his rag-top and popped the trunk. Everybody crowded around as they discussed the play in the huddle.
After the owner of the gunshop began to notice things getting out of hand, he made his way to the door to shut down a little early. Before he could reach the handle of his door knob, the door swung open, Chill and Swoop rushed in and unloaded their firearms.
"Guns and Butta" Spider Loc said as he followed in behind them. They searched the store for any other bodies before they packed up and moved out. One of the Homies held the door open while they ran back and forthloading up their cars with as much ammo as they could. They emptied out the cash register, the safe that was buried in the back room, and recovered the videotape that captured the violent crime.
"Lets go lil Homies" Spider Loc said as he realized they had been there a few minutes too long.
Chill and Swoop never moved after they ran in the shop unleashing rapid fire. They stood over the motionless body with a stale look and lost demeanor. I don't think they had realized what they signed up for that day, but they for sure knew now as they watched the blood fill the floor like water in the bathtub.
"Lil Homies" Spider Loc yelled again, this time more aggressively. Chill and Swoop snapped out of it fast, and followed the big Homie back to the car. The door to the gun shop stood wide open in a loud silence.
the ass of the rag-tops levitated while the rubber from their tires stained the concrete as Chill, Swoop, and the Eight-Trays raced back to the hood.

"Guilty By Association" Sneek Peek

"Guilty By Association" By Author King William
"Sneak Peek"

January 21, 2015

“Guilty!” the judge said as he slammed the gavel down with an Iron fist.
There was a sudden uproar in the court as Judge Jamison read off the verdict.
Mill-yon’s heart sunk to her stomach as she watched the Judges face. Her father’s head buckled between the palms of his hands.
The eight Jurors sat back in their chairs and gave each other a firm stare as to stay that justice had been served in this case.
Bobby Ray was in total shock as he twinkled his fingers as they intertwined one another and scanned the crowd before he drew his attention back to his baby girl. When he finally looked back at Mill-yon, her mouth was wide open and he was just in time to see the tears come streaming down her face.
The Stenographer typed away as she caught every word that fell out of the judge’s mouth.
The Bailiff repositioned himself and put his hand on his gun as he took the proper safety precautions.

April 29th, 1992

It was the seventh day of the Jury deliberations, and prior to this day, the Los Angeles District Attorney had charged four Police officers including a Sergeant with assault and use of excessive force. The Jury was made up nine whites, and one bi-racial man who actually appeared to look blacker than he did white. After the Jury could not decide on a verdict for the fourth officer charged with using excessive force, by 3:45pm a crowd of more than three hundred people had appeared outside of the Los Angeles County Courthouse protesting the verdict that had been announced just thirty minutes earlier.
In Los Angeles, it was almost inevitable to not be a part of some type of gang or clique.
Bobby Ray, who at the time was just a sophomore at Crenshaw High was making his rounds through the streets of L.A with his homeboys.
“I’ll die for my stripes” one of the boys named Swoop said as they moved along on down the street.
“Nigga you wouldn’t throw rice at a wedding “Bobby Ray shouted out talking shit to his homeboy.
“I put that on Love cuzz!” Swoop said as he grabbed the crotch of his Dickies and looked Bobby Ray in the eyes.
Bobby Ray, Swoop, and Chill had practically grew up together and moved like The Three Amigos.
By the time they got to Crenshaw High, the streets had got a hold of them and they were full blown Knuckleheads. They spent their entire freshmen year fucking off.
“Man Florence going down right now” Chill said as they got to the intersection of Florence and Normandy. By this time it was about 6:40 in the evening.
“Yea everybody mad as shit about those pigs getting off scotch free for beating Rodney King’s ass” Swoop said.
“Yea, dat shit was fucked up homie!” Chill said as the incident struck a nerve with him.
“Man these crackers do what the fuck they want and get away with it” Bobby Ray added.
“OOOoooggghh!! Shit, Look!” Swoop said .
At approximately 6:45 Reginald Oliver Denny, a Caucasian male truck driver who was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Florence and Normandy Avenue, was being dragged from his vehicle and getting severely beaten by a mob of local black residents as a television News Helicopter hovered above.
Bobby Ray, Swoop, and Chill ran to join in as they felt it was the right thing to do.
“Watch this homies!”  Bobby Ray said as he picked up a brick and launched it at Reginald Denny, the man being drug from his vehicle. The brick struck Denny in his temple, causing him to have a near fatal seizure instantly.
“Boom” Bobby Ray yelled as he felt a sudden adrenaline rush come on from the energy that surrounded him.
As the melee continued, just minutes later, Fidel Lopez, a self-employed Construction worker and Guatemalan Immigrant was also pulled from a truck and robbed for nearly 2,000. As Bobby Ray, Chill, and Swoop watched it all go down, an enraged black man ran up and smashed his forehead open with a car stereo.
“Ouch!” Swoop said
“That had to hurt” he continued. Another angry Rioter ran up and sliced his ear off with a pocket knife, Samurai style.
“Finish him!” they chanted as if they were playing a game of Mortal Kombat. After the man lost consciousness, the angry Mob began spray painting his body starting with his chest, torso, and genitals. They spray painted it all black.
“This shit fucking bonkers cuzz!” they all said agreeing, as they continued to monitor the ruthless acts of violence.
After their brief contribution to the melee, they kept it moving along on down the street.
“What yall got planned for the night cuzz” Bobby Ray asked.
“Shit i don't know… what you finna do cud?” Swoop Swoop asked as he returned the question.
“Shit.. you know what im finna do… Im bout to go chill with Lisa” Bobby Ray Confessed.
“Man you always chasing after that Bitch!” Chill fired as he expressed true hate in his feelings.
“She aint no Bitch i told you” Bobby Ray said as he slapped the back of chills head with an open palm.
“Ouch Man, what chu hit me for?” chill cried out.
“I told you about referring to women as that around me”
“Didn’t Miss Smith Teach you any manners” Bobby Ray asked as he referenced to Chills mom.
“Man that fool aint worried about impressing you” Swoop said sticking up for chill.
“Well i dont care what yall gon do, cuz im bout to go see oh girl” Bobby Ray said as he did the smurda dance.
“Nigga think he in love or some shit” Swoop said as he laughed and nudged Chill in his shoulder.
“Aight man” Swoop said as he gripped the crotch of his chucks. He gave Chill a fierce nod to follow him, and soon before you knew it, they had disappeared in a distance up the block.
As Bobby Ray twirled around, his face lit up as he had already arrived at his destination.
He had took a few steps and it was not long before he was already at the door.
Before he could get the chance to knock…...the door swung open.
“Waddupp Ray? Ray?” the face said as it peeked from behind the door.
“Waddupp!” he said quickly in a lost for words.
“Well is you coming in or not” Lisa said as she reached out and grabbed Bobby Ray by the center of his chest.
As he was pulled inside he remembered why he made it his business to go and see Lisa every friggin day.
When the door closed Lisa stood right before him with only her T-shirt and her panties on. Not to mention her Crip Blue Bandana that she wore on her head.
“Want some?” she asked as she turned her forty- ounce of Old English upside down.
“Nah im good, i don't drink that cheap shit” Bobby Ray said as he tried to cap it off knowing damn well he didn't really drink anything.
He squeezed past Lisa and went to go and find his spot on the couch.
“Yo moms here?” he asked as he kicked his feet up on her table.
“Is they ever here?” she fired back referencing to both of her parents as she pranced over to where he was sitting and straddled his lap.
“What i'm gon do with you cuzz” he said as he was aroused by her ghetto demeanor.
“Nigga give it up” She said as she made her index, thumb, and middle finger resemble a pistol.
“You know what i want …… Gimme dat Dick!” she said as she carried on with her role playing.
“You a fucking fool” Bobby Ray said as he looked Lisa dead in her face with the stupidest grin.
With her fingers still raised, Lisa began to aggressively yank and jerk at Bobby Ray's belt buckle.
There was no struggle, and there was no fight.
All Bobby Ray could do was put his hands up and play along. In some sick twisted kind of way, he actually liked it!

WRITERS GAME : HOW TO PROMOTE AND MARKET YOUR BOOK EFFECTIVELY

WRITERS GAME : HOW TO PROMOTE AND MARKET YOUR BOOK EFFECTIVELY

How To Get Started

The best time to design and implement your marketing plan of action is before you even start writing your book. It takes time to build relationships, learn your readers wants and needs and develop a base of rabid fans that clamour for more.
Grow your readership as you write your book, and when it’s time to launch your baby, you’ll already have an invested and eager audience waiting.

Great advice, except my book is already written. Now what?

Even if you already have your book in hand, don’t panic! The process is still the same. It just may take a little longer to see the book sales come rolling in. :)
So, let’s skip past the year or two (or five) of blood, sweat and tears that were required for you to pound out, edit and polish your masterful novel, and assume that it is indeed worthy of personal recommendation.
The next step is to get your share-worthy work noticed and shared by the right people. Here are a fey key things to remember:
  • Focus more on discoverability rather than selling. Your work is important, so help those who can benefit from it, find it.
  • Accept responsibility for the marketing and promotion of your book. Even if you choose to outsource some of the work, your book’s success depends on you taking action.
What follows is a list of 71 tactics to add to your book marketing arsenal. Not every strategy will work for every author, so pick and choose what makes sense, adapt what you can, and after you’ve gone through the list, you may come up with some of your own marketing ideas to implement.

Promote and Market Your Book Like a Master

1. Identify your audience. This is a vital step in the promotion and marketing of your book, and–if done right–will make the rest of the process infinitely easier. Find out who your book appeals to, get to know those people well, and be where they are, both online and off. (Bonus points for authors who do this prior to writing their book!)
2. Establish a budget. How much money are you able and willing to spend marketing and promoting your book? Include everything from paid advertising to travel costs.
3. Create a marketing plan. Don’t skip this step! How much time can you devote to establishing and maintaining your book promotion strategies? What marketing tactics do you intend on implementing first? What are your goals and how will you measure them?
4. Get creative. Use your book’s theme, location, or time period for inspiration and making marketing connections. A character’s hobbies, occupation, lifestyle, values and interests can be jumping off points for developing promotional strategies. Brainstorm (with Google), companies, experts, businesses, organizations or groups that you can approach for joint marketing ventures.
5. Tell your author brand story. Write an author biography that succinctly defines your reason for being; keep it to two or three short but memorable paragraphs that will resonate with your readers. Show some personality and give your readers a reason to care.
6. Create your hook. Having trouble summarizing 40,000+ words into a few, attention grabbing sentences? Here’s a couple of resources to get the creative juices flowing: Think Fast! 10 Minutes to the Perfect Elevator Pitch and Writing Loglines That Sell.
7. Build your email list. Invite people to subscribe, and make it worth their while by providing remarkable content. Use your list wisely to create and build buzz for your launch. Engage your tribe early, keep them ‘in-the-loop’, and ask for feedback so they become invested in the successful outcome of your book or project.
8. Make it easy to buy. Ensure your author website includes book links that are clear, easy to find, and go directly to your listing at every retailer you’re listed with (Amazon, Smashwords, B & N, Kobo, or Apple iBookstore).
9. Link your book to trending topics. Write articles that tie your book topic or genre to current popular interests.
10. Schedule social media. Decide when and what you will share on your social media platforms. Optimize your profile on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Goodreads and Pinterest. Select the most effective time for reaching the most people with Tweriod, Sprout Social or Buffer.
11. Promote your ebook for free. Here’s a list of free sites from Mediabistro.
12. Set up online book giveaways via Goodreads. Or try a member giveaway at LibraryThing.
13. Time your release. Time the announcement of your new book with an important, relevant news event, blockbuster movie or trade show.
14. Create a readers guide at the end of your book. Use your book’s description to let people know that your book contains a helpful discussion guide at the end.
15. Learn some copywriting principles. Marketing isn’t just storytelling. It’s also about getting your readers to take action. Hone your copywriting and content marketing skills and turn your audience into book buyers.
16. Host and record author hangouts on Google+. Not sure how? Try this comprehensive post on demystifying Google+ hangouts from The Future of Ink.
17. Think outside the ‘box’. Gain marketing information and insights from outside the writing industry that you can tweak and apply to your book marketing strategy (music industry, small business start-ups).
18. Get a professional and distinctive author photo. Use this image across all your social media profiles, on your site, at the end of your book (along with your author bio) and on your print materials.
19. Create a press release. A good press release will include the information needed for a reporter or blogger to understand the news value of your story. Make sure it’s clear what you are announcing, why the reader of the press release should care, and where they can get more info if they’re interested. Then submit your press release to free press release distribution sites.
20. Get media savvy. Develop a relationship with local media, including radio, newspaper and tv connections. Find an angle that hooks reporters and will benefit their readers or viewers. Pitch articles, interviews and relevant blog posts. Here’s an awesome post by Patrick Garmoe at Copyblogger to help you out: 109 Ways to Make Your Business Irresistible to the Media.
21. Read marketing, blogging and social media roundup posts. Save time! Take advantage of resources provided by other bloggers and writers that scour the web for you, and dish up the best of the best around the web. Try Kristi Hines’ Fetching Friday on Kikolani.com, Ana Hoffman’sWeekly Marketing Skinny at Traffic Generation Cafe, or The Writer’s Weekly Wrap-Up here at Your Writer Platform. (If you’d like the Wrap-Up delivered straight to your inbox, join the mailing list here.)
22. Guest post frequently and strategically. Guest blogging is one the best ways to increase visibility, gain influence in your genre or topic and draw targeted readers to your online ‘bookstore’ or author site.
23. Get early/pre-release reviews. At least three months prior to publication, make a list of book bloggers and reviewers in your book’s genre, read their guidelines on what and how to submit, and start sending your manuscript out for early reviews.
24. Create bookmarks. Old school, but still effective. Include an image of your book cover, your hook or logline, as well as your website and contact info. If you think your audience will understand and use a QR code, include one on your bookmark or other print materials. Check outHow to Create a QR Code in 4 Easy Steps by Corey Eridon at Hubspot.
25. Be friendly. Introduce yourself and get to know the owners and staff at local, independent bookstores. Contact genre experts and well known book review blogger sites. Who do you know? Who do you need to know? Step outside your comfort zone and devise a plan to reach out to these people.
26. Tempt your readers with more. Insert sample chapters from the next book in a series at the end of your current book to pull your readers in.
27. Understand Amazon’s system and use it to your advantage. Use categories to streamline and increase discoverability. Test out your new copywriting skills and create sizzling book descriptions. For more help with your Amazon descriptions, try Author Marketing Club’s Amazon Description Generator.
28. Write a series. Obviously this won’t work for every author or book, but when possible, creating a series is a very powerful and effective way to develop a presence, gain reader loyalty and boost sales of earlier works with subsequent novels. For more on this, read Jonathan Gunson’s ‘Series’ – The Single Most Effective Career Strategy A Writer Can Employ.
29. Advertise your previous works in each book you publish. One of the best places to advertise your previous work is at the end of your current book, where you’ve got a happy reader, eager for more.
30. Create a promo kit. Include graphics, images, links, excerpts, and sample Facebook shares and Tweets, that can be sent to bloggers upon request.
31. Participate in a podcast tour. Do some research to find author friendly podcasts, or use your connections to create your own podcast tour.
32. Attend live networking events, conferences and expos. Attend, or write a proposal to present at an event, to gain connections, increase you credibility and develop a supportive network of influencers.
33. Update your email signature. For every email you send, ensure that you include info on your new or upcoming book and a link back to your blog or book website.
34. Develop a workshop based on your books content. Especially for non-fiction writers, teaching your book’s content can further solidify your expertise in the minds of your readers and your peers.
35. Design or re-design a book cover that sells. Commission a professional to design a cover that is not only striking, but clear and readable even as a small thumbnail.
36. Design a launch strategy that works. Your book launch requires a lot more prep and strategy than several Tweets and a beseeching email to friends and family. Plan a party, launch at a unique venue that relates to your book’s content or team up with other authors announcing their new release to heighten the excitement across several author platforms and audiences. Here’s a great post via Firepole Marketing on book launch strategy.
37. Sign up for the Amazon Affiliate Program. Add to your income by earning fees on all qualified purchases through your affiliate link (not just on your books).
38. Add a ‘contact the author’ section at the end of your book. Give details on how readers can connect with you via email, your author website or through social media.
39. Writing is your business. Make sure your on and offline presence (website, social media profiles, print materials) is professional and doesn’t portray a hobbyist. If you’re not committed, neither will your readers be.
40. Submit your article to a link roundup. If you are creating exceptional content on your author blog (you are, right?), then make a list of related, popular blogs that do link roundups (like #21 above, but in your topic or genre) and submit your article. It may not always be accepted, but when it is, you will get a back link as well as an influx of high quality visitors to your site.
41. Participate in or organize a virtual blog tour, blog hop or sharing contest. For a description of the pros and cons of each–and what to expect–read this post by Donna Brown at Molly-Greene.com: Author Promotion: Blog Tours, Hops & Sharing Contests.
42. Create urgency. Use time-limited coupons, giveaways and contests. Host a contest on your website. Offer bonuses or special extras to readers who purchase your book prior to a certain date.
43. Join forces with local merchants. Team up with store owners and other businesses to offer certificates, prizes and merchant coupons to be shared or given away during your book promotions. (Advertise these perks on your site and on printed materials).
44. Time and coordinate promotions. Try to time your guest posts, author interviews, giveaways, advertising and other promotions  to run at the same time, so that each promotion gains momentum from the other. The perception of ‘being everywhere’ will strengthen your chances of creating the word of mouth marketing momentum we’re looking for.
45. Become a subject matter expert. Even if you’re a fiction writer, you can still tie concepts in your book to topics that require expert opinion.
46. Don’t stop promoting one book to start writing another. The buzz and excitement of a launch can be exhilarating, but the marketing and promotional effort for a book must continue far beyond the initial days and weeks of ‘getting it out there’. Include in your marketing plan a schedule that allows for ongoing promotional activities of your previous work, while providing time to write your next bestseller as well.
47. Try Fiverr. Find some quality gigs that will submit your book to free websites, submit your press releases or have someone (relevant) share your most recent–and fascinating–blog post.
48. Do book readings or author visits live or via Skype. Try schools, your local bookstore, library or community college. Get people interested before you get there: create a packet that gives a summary of what to expect during your visit, printed materials like a flyer and book order form (that can be photocopied) or other promotional materials (like bookmarks).
49. Connect with your readers offline. Gain exposure through book signings, book clubs, writing groups, school visits, workshops, library readings and local area meet-ups. For tips on book signings, check out JA Konrath’s post on Book Signings: Everything You Need to Know.
50. Make your vacations work for you. If you’re heading to a new locale, why not do a little advance research and set up some readings and visits at your destination’s local libraries, schools or bookstores? (Are you starting to see a pattern here? Get out from behind your computer, and meet your people! :) )
51. Take it further with video. Record your readings and share on your YouTube channel, Facebook Page, Google+ and on Goodreads.
52. Promote others. As you help promote other authors in your genre, by sharing their blog posts, reviewing their books and the like, you will build good will and a strong network of peer support for your current and future projects.
53. Create a Bit.ly vanity URL for your book. Bit.ly is a link shortening service that can also give you stats on the number of clicks on your link and where it was shared. Use Bit.ly to create a link that is easily shareable (not super long or a jumble of letters and numbers) for your book. Here’s avideo how-to.
54. Purchase advertising. Set up a Google Adwords account, or try Facebook or blog ads. Other advertising options include sites like BookBub or EReader News Today.
55. ‘Free’ sells. Giving away your work for free is controversial, but often free now can mean increased sales down the road. Freebies might include free chapters, free signed copies of your book or other giveaways.
56. Add a Hellobar book teaser to the top of your author website.
57. Create a virtual bundle. Package together a print book and ebook, an ebook and course, or an ebook with videos and a workbook to add more value and options for your reader when purchasing your work.
58. Encourage your fans to market your book. Your fans can earn a little extra income by enrolling in Amazon’s or Smashword’s affiliate programs and adding links to your books on their websites or blogs.
59. Repurpose content and reach more people. Take your popular posts, useful insights, inspirational quotes, noteworthy results, chapter outlines or key points and repurpose them to share as a presentation on Slideshare or short videos on YouTube.
60. Slideshare. You can embed your presentation on your site (or others can embed it on their site), and you can embed YouTube videos–including your book trailer–into your Slideshare slides. Remember to add hyperlinks so viewers can get in touch or visit your author website.
61. Rock your book trailer. Show your creativity, humour (if appropriate) and personality. Try to avoid the jacket-flap blurb over a photo montage, and consider incorporating your overall message and brand. If you don’t feel you have the skills to create a book trailer that steals the show, you can hire a company to make one for you–just do a little cost analysis first to see if the marketing benefits outweigh the price tag.
62. ‘Consign’ your book. Consider trying a consignment style approach in gift shops, specialty stores, boutiques and galleries. The store owners may not want to purchase your books outright, but may display and sell them in their store for a cut of the profits.
63. Partner up. One of the best things about being a writer is that your only true competition is yourself. There are no ‘winners’, just insatiable readers that will devour a book in hours that took you a year or more to write. Use your connections or develop new ones to help cross promote with other authors, illustrators, musicians, designers, experts, events, charities, interest groups and so on.
64. Sell some ‘merch’. Give your fans the opportunity to promote you and your work offline by creating and selling themed merchandise on your site.
65. Use Vine. Vine is an app that allows you to make short video loops, and forces you to get to the heart of your message quickly. Fun to make and easy to share, your Vine videos can include a myriad of images and behind-the-scence glimpses of your writing process, your brand or even your personality.
66. Donate. Build goodwill (and good Karma :) ) by getting your book into the hands of people that might not normally have access to your work. Considering donating your book to hospitals, shelters, churches, libraries, doctor/dental offices, hair salons, organizations or clubs.
67. Back of room sales. Promote your work when giving lectures, speeches, and teaching at workshops. Have a selection of your books with you and available for purchase.
68. Sell your books using Pinterest. Use Pinterest to relate to the fans you already have as well as intrigue new readers with ‘visual’ stories of you, your brand and your work. Your incentive? Pinterest has 70 million users, with approximately 80% of those being women. And stats show that about 70% of Pinterest members use the site to get inspiration on what to buy. (Plus it’s fun!)
69. Have a Google+ online launch party. Use your new Google+ hangout skills to set up an online launch party for your book, or for the launch of several books by authors in a related genre. As an example, here’s a press release for an online book launch party.
70. Reconnect with your University Alumni. Your university, college or even high school can be a great resource. Notify your alumni of any upcoming events, check to see if they have a listing of alumni books (so you can add yours), and ensure that they are on your press release distribution list. You can even offer to do a presentation for faculty or the students.
71. Have fun! Take a moment to breathe, and realize that not everything on this list needs to be done today. Concentrate on the first three steps so you can frame your marketing strategy moving forward, then add tasks and tactics as you have the time and attention to do so. Enjoy it! You are finding ways to get your work noticed and shared by hundreds, maybe thousands of people who will then share it with even more. Go, word of mouth marketing!

Take Action
